2.3 Auto ack setup
This item sets AUTO ACK response.
Pressing [#/SETUP] key reveals “Setup menu” screen. Select AUTO ACK, and press [ENT] key.
Then, the following “Auto ack setup” screen appears.

Usually, set this item at “ABLE”.
This item sets the automatic response AUTO ACK at ABLE or UNABLE. When the request call of
INDIVIDUAL, PSTN, POSITION, or POLLING is received, ABLE accepts the request call and
UNABLE does not accept.
The automatic response AUTO ACK is switched to AUTO or MANUAL with [ACK/5/JKL] key.
Note) No AUTO ACK takes place :
- Receiving message is an error: ECC ERROR,
- The handset is in OFF HOOK,
- Request call of POSITION or POLLING is received when UNABLE is set.

UNABLE is selected.

This item sets the type of response to the call from the other party on requesting the ship position.

This item sets the type of response to the call from the other party on requesting the answer about
whether the ship is staying in possible communication range or not. In this case the repsonse does
not include the information of ship position. Refer to the Table below.
