The components that may be installed within patient vicinity need to be medical equipment (”patient
vicinity is defined in the standardization as a space within the room 1.83 m (70.7 in) beyond the
perimeter of the examination table and extending vertically 2.29 m (90.2 in) above the floor.”). For
