ThesystemusesarechargeablebatterycontainingLithium-Ioncells.Thebatterycontainsan
integratedsafetyprotectioncircuit.
Thesystembatteryhasashelflifeofsixmonths.Rechargethebatteryonceeverysixmonths
whenstoredforalongperiodoftime.Thesystemswitchesoffwhenthebatteryiscompletely
discharged.Chargebatteryregularlytomaximizebatterylife.
Asthebatteryages,thefullchargecapacityofthebatterywilldegradeandbepermanentlylost.
Asaresult,theamountofchargethatisstoredandavailableforuseisreduced.Whenthecapacity
isnolongersufcientforyourdailyoperation,youwillneedtoreplacethebattery.
ToprintanECGafterlowbatteryshutdowndothefollowing:
1.ConnectthesystemtoanACpowersupply.
2.Rechargethebatteryfor20minutes.
ThesystemisreadytoprintanECG.
ToprintanECGafterabatteryisfullydischargeddothefollowing:
1.ConnectthesystemtoanACpowersupply.
2.Rechargethebatteryfor90minutes.
ThesystemisreadytoprintanECG.
NOTE:
ThesystemdoesnotprintanECGwithoutaworkingbattery.
PeriodicMaintenance
Inadditiontonormalsystemuse,periodicdeepdischargecyclesmayberequiredtoensure
consistentbatteryperformance.Adeepdischargecycleoccurswhenthebatteryisdischarged
untilthesystemshutsdownandthebatteryischargeduntilitisfull.
NOTE:
Foroptimalbatterylife,GEHealthcarerecommendsonedeepdischargecycleeverythree
months,butdoesnotrecommendover-exercisingthebatterywithmultipledeepdischarge
cycles.
