WATER SUPPLY QUALITY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Proper maintenance of the appliance is required to ensure water meets EPA quality standards.
2. Maximum contaminant levels allowed, based on EPA National Secondary Drinking Water
Regulations (40 CFR Part 143.3):

3. If you suspect that your water is contaminated in any way, discontinue use of the water heater and
contact an authorized technician or licensed professional.
4. Toxic chemicals, such as those used for water heater treatment shall not be introduced into potable
water.
5. DO NOT connect to any piping system with component(s) previously used in non-potable water
heating applications.
