Range Test
When the range test starts, the output of the transmiƩer is signiĮcantly
decreased. A pracƟcal funcƟonal test can therefore be performed at less
than 100 m or 300 Ō. AŌer the end of the range test, the transmiƩer
switches back to full output power and the range test signal tone stops.
If necessary, ask someone for help.
1. Verify that the receiver and transmiƩer are communicaƟng properly
and that all control surfaces are funcƟonal.
2. Place the model on a Ňat surface (cement, mowed lawn or ground)
with the receiver antenna at least 15 cm or 6 in above ground.
3. Hold the transmiƩer at hip level at a slight distance from your body.
4. Start the range test in the "RF Set" menu by tapping the icon in the
“Range Test” ĮĞůd.
5. The Ɵme display begins to count down and a beep will sound
throughout the enƟre range test.
6. Move away from the model within the given 99 seconds range test
and move the control sƟcks while maintaining visual contact.
7. If you noƟce an interrupƟon in the connecƟon at any Ɵme within a
distance of about 50 m or 160 Ō, try to reproduce it. Try to re-posiƟon
the receiver antenna and repeat the range test.
8. If possible, switch on an exisƟng motor, to addiƟonally check the
interference resistance.
9. Carry out the extended range test before starƟng up your model,
simulaƟng all the control movements occurring in pracƟce. To
guarantee a safe model operaƟon, the range must always be at least
50 m or 160 Ō on the ground.
CAUTION
Never start a range test on the transmitter during normal model operation!
