5.4 Fault finding
Problem Cause Solution
Indicator lamp does not
light-up for 3 seconds
after ignition was
switched on.
1. No supply voltage
(+15) on pin 1 or at
indicator lamp.
Check the fuse and, if
required, replace the
fuse.
2. No ground potential
on pin 2.
Check the ground con-
nection and, if required
repair it.
3. Indicator lamp defec-
tive.
Replace the indicator
lamp.
4. Wiring to pump unit
or to indicator lamp
defective.
Check the wiring and, if
required, repair it.
Indicator lamp is lighted
constantly when the
ignition is powered.
System is malfunction-
ing.
Retrieve the fault codes
with the test push but-
ton or the UniGINA and
repair the system.
Indicator lamp is flash-
ing for a short period
(1 sec. on / 1 sec. off).
Lamp is flashing to indi-
cate a running pump
cycle, triggered by push-
ing the test push button
at the pump or the con-
troller program (optio-
nal parameter setting
for displaying each auto-
matic cycle to the opera-
tor).
When indicator lamp
should not indicate each
automatic triggered
pumping cycle contact
your dealer.
All grease points are too
dry, but no malfunction
is indicated by the
optional indicator lamp.
The cycle time period or
the set grease amount
per greasing cycle is not
set correctly for the cur-
rent application.
Shorten the cycle time
period and or increase
the grease amount with
the rotary switches on
the circuit-board behind
the bottom cover of the
pump.
Too much grease has
been applied to all
grease points.
The cycle time period or
the set grease amount
per greasing cycle is not
set correctly for the cur-
rent application.
Lenghten the cycle time
period and or decrease
the grease amount with
the rotary switches on
the circuit-board behind
the bottom cover of the
pump.
One or more grease
points are to dry while
others received the cor-
rect amount of grease.
Improper composition of
the distribution blocks.
Change the composi-
tion of the distribution
blocks.
