Both AC voltage and current input signals are amplified by
U403 (OP37G) which amplifies the voltage 9.25X before being
sent into the rms-to dc converter.
The AC input signals are converted to dc voltages for
measurement. The conversion is done by a monolithic
integrated circuit, AD536A which performs true rms-to-dc
conversion. The AD536 directly computes the true rms value of
any complex input waveform containing ac and dc components
and provides an equivalent DC level.
