(1) Cable tie
(2) Tighten the cable tie to secure the power cord to the handle of the power module
Connecting a DC power cord
1. Align the power cord plug with the power receptacle on the power module, and insert the plug
into the receptacle (see Figure 56).
The plug and receptacle are foolproof. If you cannot insert the plug into the receptacle, re-orient
the plug rather than use excessive force to push it in.
2. Use a cable tie to secure the power cord to the handle of the power module, as shown in Figure
55.
3. Con
nect the other end of the power cord to the DC power source.

Installing/removing expansion modules
CAUTION:
When you install or remove an expansion module, follow these guidelines:
• Never touch the components on the expansion module surface with bare hands.
• Do not use excessive force.
The S6850-2C switch provides two expansion slots. For the available expansion modules, see
"Appendix B FRUs."
