4.8 Dual settings
Dual settings protection (A + B) is particularly appropriate when the circuit breaker can be
powered by two sources with very dierent short circuit currents
For example, source 1 is the power network, source 2 is a backup power supply (generator).
Dual settings allow the following parameters to be set separately for protection profile A and
protection profile B:
- Long time delay protection against overcurrent
- Short time delay protection against overcurrent
- Instantaneous protection against overcurrent
- Earth protection
The neutral protection parameter cannot be set separately for protection profile B.
You can switch from one profile to another in certain operating conditions.
Dual settings are deactivated by default.
On the sentinel Energy display they can be activated from the HOME PROTECTION
PROTECTION B menu.
Dual settings can also be activated using the Hager Power setup software.
