Use this
procedure only
in an emergen-
cy to return to
the nearest port
for re- pairs.
When the
emergency
starter rope is
used to start
the engine, the
start-in- gear
protecti
on
device
does
n

per- ate. Make
sure the
remote
control lever
If the engine
cannot be tilted
up or down with
the power tilt
because of a
discharged bat-
tery or a failure
with the power
tilt unit, the en-
gine can be tilted
manually.

manual
valve screw
by turn- ing it
counterclock
wise until it
stops.

engine shut-off
