Chapter 8 Mandatory Setting for Motor Drive and Test Run
8-3-4
 Countermeasure when auto-tuning fails halfway
 If an abnormal termination or trip occurs and forced termination occurs during auto-tuning,
refer to the following table and "Chapter 15 Tips/FAQ/Troubleshooting" to remove the
abnormal termination or trip factor. Then, set [H001] to 01 or 02 again and perform auto-tuning
again.
Example of countermeasures
The control system does not match
the motor.
Set "Control mode selection, 1st-motor [A044]" to "V/f
Constant torque characteristics (00)". Otherwise, it may
terminate abnormally.
The base frequency, motor rated
voltage, and motor rated current do
not match the motor specifications.
If the basic parameters of the motor are not correct, trip
such as overcurrent may occur. Check and set the basic
parameters.
Also, set so that "Output voltage gain [A045]" × "Motor
rated voltage [A082]" equals to the rated voltage of the
motor.
The STOP/RESET key was pressed.
If the STOP/RESET key on the keypad is pressed, auto-
tuning is interrupted. Check the auto-tuning setting again
and execute.
Trip occurred due to external
factors such as brake.
The cause of the trip must be removed.
The input terminal function was
activated.
During auto-tuning, if the input terminal function
operates, tuning may be hindered. Execute auto-tuning
after confirming the input terminal functions are OFF.
The motor capacity is too small
against the applicable motor
capacity of the inverter.
If the tuning is not completed properly, the motor
constants must be set manually.
An overvoltage error [E07] occurred
because the machine load was
large or the deceleration time was
short.
Increase the deceleration time.
Perform auto-tuning with a motor alone.
An "Overcurrent error ([E01] to
[E03])" occurred during
acceleration or deceleration due to
a large load.
Increase the acceleration time.
