Chapter 9 Inverter Functions
9-4-3
9.4.3 Limiting Rotation Output Direction
 How to prevent equipment damage caused by the motor reversing?
 In some cases, the control system may result in a rotational output that is in the opposite
direction of the RUN command, such as when operating at low speeds. The "Direction reversal
protection selection [b046]" can be set to limit the rotation output so it keeps the same
direction as the command.
 This function should be enabled in cases when reverse rotation of the motor results in
equipment damage.
 This function is enabled when "Control mode selection [A044]
*1
" is set to "Sensorless vector
control (03)".
 Even when this function is used, the motor may rotate in the reverse direction when subject to
high-load external forces. When using this function as a protection against an improper rotation
direction, be sure to thoroughly confirm that the equipment does not rotate in the reverse
direction.
