Overview

The Netbiter EasyConnect Gateway is a device designed for remote monitoring and control of industrial equipment. It facilitates communication between Modbus devices and the Netbiter Argos web-based service, allowing users to access, configure, and troubleshoot their gateways from any internet-connected browser. The gateway supports various interfaces and physical connections for versatile integration into different industrial environments.

Function Description:

The Netbiter EasyConnect Gateway acts as a bridge, connecting Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP devices to the Netbiter Argos cloud service. It enables data logging, alarm management (via email and SMS), and remote access to connected equipment. The gateway supports both dynamic and fixed IP address configurations for network setup. Depending on the model, it can utilize Ethernet, GPRS, 3G/UMTS, or GSM for uplink communication to Netbiter Argos. Some models also feature digital and analog inputs/outputs, as well as serial interfaces (RS-232, RS-485) for connecting to various sensors and control systems. The EC350 model includes a built-in GPS receiver for location tracking.

Usage Features:

Easy Installation: The EC150 and EC250 models are supplied ready for DIN rail mounting. The EC220, EC310, and EC350 models can be screw-mounted directly to a flat surface or mounted on a DIN rail using an optional kit.
Flexible Connectivity: Supports various serial interfaces (RS-232, RS-485) and Ethernet for connecting to Modbus RTU and Modbus TCP devices.
Digital and Analog I/O: Provides digital inputs for monitoring switches or breakers and analog inputs for temperature, current, or voltage sensors (model dependent). Some models also include relay outputs for control.
SIM Card Support: Netbiter SIM cards are pre-configured for ease of use. Other SIM cards require specific network information (phone number, APN, user name, password). PIN code security must be disabled on the SIM card before use with the gateway.
