8. Fast Commissioning
The E-Mon energy meter is Bluetooth enabled and easy to commission using the E-Mon
mobile application.
8.1. Quick Connect
i. Launch the mobile App on the phone and Tap on ‘Quick Connect’ option at the bottom
pane.
ii. Search for devices using the icon (+) on mobile App and switch on Bluetooth.
iii. Tap on ‘Discover Device’ option on the application.
iv. Select the meter from list of devices as displayed in the app.
v. The meter front panel displays status “Waiting for Pin” and the App displays numeric
verification code.
vi. Use the 6-digit pairing code that is displayed on the meter LCD screen and the phone
simultaneously to pair the device with mobile phone.
vii. Verify the pairing code on your application to connect the device with E-Mon® energy
meter by taping on ‘Yes’ button.
viii. The ‘Connecting to Meter’ tab shows in phone screen.
ix. The ‘meter connected’ screen appears once the pairing is complete.
8.2. Meter configuration
i. Select the meter from the ‘Meter Connected’ screen.
ii. Use the ‘Start commissioning’ option button at the bottom to start commissioning the
device.
iii. Tap on ‘Add More’ in order to add more devices. This option redirects the app to the
initial screen where you can select the option to add more meters.
iv. Choose a template from the ‘Template’ screen and tap on to proceed.
v. Define the address in the ‘Addressing’ screen and tap on ‘Start’ button.
vi. The app displays commissioning screen with seek bar.
vii. Next the app displays ‘Meter Commissioned’ screen to create project.
viii. Tap on ‘Yes’ to create a project or ‘No’ to view the dashboard.
8.3. Commissioning
The commissioning can be done using two methods, the ‘Connected Meters’ screen or system
dashboard.
i. Go to the system Dashboard and tap on ‘Fast Commissioning’ menu item.
ii. Choose a template from ‘Full Template’ or ‘Partial Template’ option.
iii. The Partial Template lets you select various parameters for measurement and tariff.
Select the appropriate option and tap .
iv. The ‘Auto Addressing’ screen shows the addressing values setting, tap on ‘Start’ button
at the bottom of the screen.
