3.2.4. Bluetooth Communication
The E-Mon® energy meter can be paired with android phone for fast and easy commissioning
and meter readouts. The energy meter communicates via Bluetooth connectivity, and users
can monitor it with the help of the E-Mon application.
Download the E-Mon® and pair the device using Bluetooth for meter communication. Please
refer to section 4.4.3 for pairing options. The LED indicator is programmed to display
Bluetooth connectivity status as the device pairs with the E-Mon App.
Use the Bluetooth connectivity of your mobile device for meter commissioning with App. The
communication is encrypted and secure to safeguard sensitivity of shared information. Pair
the mobile device using numeric comparison (Pairing Code) and use the mobile application
for commissioning and setting up the meter parameters.
WARNING!
• Kindly provide a proper ground wiring to the enclosure. Failure to attach the
protective earth ground wire securely to the meter steel enclosure terminal leads to
shock hazard.
• Do not operate the meter without a securely installed protective earth ground
connection.
