2 Introduction
The RAEGuard 3 consists of a gas detector transmitters and a choice of sensors
for detecting flammable gas, toxic gas and oxygen. It is designed for using in
hazardous area locations and may also to be used in other area not classified as
hazardous.
Toxic gas and oxygen sensors adopt intrinsically safety design to allow users to
modify the range, enriching and expanding the use scenario and detection range
of one detector, and support hot swap in the field, which greatly facilitates user
maintenance and expansion.
The transmitter features a large-screen graphic LCD display and three
programmable relays as option for controlling external equipment e.g. alarms,
sirens, valves or switches. It provides an industry standard 3-wire, 4-20mA analog
source output and Modbus RTU digital signal output for connection to a dedicated
gas detection control system or PLC.
Calibration and maintenance is carried out using a magnetic wand via 3-button,
which allows a single person to undertake routine practice with non-intrusive to
detector inside.
And modular design can expand Visible and Sound Alarm (SP-07 only for China),
HART, Surge Protection Device, BLE Bluetooth and so on.
In addition, more accessories/spares such as Collecting cone, Sunshade/Deluge
Protection, Duct Mount Kit, Gas-flow Adaptor, Mounting Plate Kit as well as
various Cable Glands as option offered can be used for more applications.
RAEGuard 3 is suitable for use in Zone 1 or 2 hazardous areas(International and
China).
