The Mach/airspeed indicator has the following features:
D Pointer display of computed airspeed in knots (white pointer)
D Pointer display of maximum allowable airspeed (V
MO
) in knots
(striped pointer)
D Counter drum display of Mach
D Airspeed bugs on the bezel ring that the pilot can set to critical
airspeeds
D A failure monitor control for the maximum allowable airspeed (V
MO
),
failure flag, and airspeed failure (OFF) flag.
NOTE: A failure that affects maximum allowable airspeed
displays the V
MO
flag. A failure that affects airspeed only,
or both airspeed and maximum allowable airspeed,
displays the OFF flag.
