Date
Code.
The
date
code on
the
PCA is a four-digit number which identifies
the
assembly level.
The
first two digits represent
the
last
two digits of
the
current year
and
are derived by subtracting
60
from
the
current year;
the
last
two digits
are
the
number of
the
week
in
that
year, i.e.
2314
= fourteenth week
in
1983.
Any
digits following a hyphen
in
the
date
code represent
the
division
that
manufactured the assembly.
