8. Select the delay format for your measurement by pressing
.
9. Press to automatically select marker 1 as the active
marker. Position marker 1 to the left edge of the measurement trace.
10.Press to select marker 2 as the active marker. Position marker 2
to the right edge of the measurement trace.
11.Press . Find the
mean value, located in the upper-right corner of the display.
12.Divide the mean value by 2. Record this value for use later in the
procedure.
13.Determine the offset delay of the calibration short:
• Press .
• Press until the Cal Kit screen is displayed. In the
“CAL KIT: Port 1,” display, find the numeric value for the delay of
the short. (This Port 1 heading is appropriate because the 3.5 mm
short used in Step 7 is from the calibration kit assigned to port 1.)
