Hood sensor
The hood sensor is secured in a slot in the top of the chassis.
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (
Preparation for Disassembly on page 31).
2. Remove the computer access panel (
Computer Access Panel on page 40).
3. Remove the front bezel (
Front Bezel on page 41).
4. Disconnect the hood sensor cable from the white system board connector labeled HSENSE (1).
5. Slide the hood sensor out of the slot in the top of the chassis, and then remove it from the
chassis (2).
NOTE: A flat-blade screwdriver or similar tool may be helpful to push the sensor out of the slot.

To install the hood sensor, reverse the removal procedure.
