Hood Sensor

Hood sensor 638816-001
The hood sensor is located on the top of the rear chassis panel.
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (
Preparation for Disassembly on page 75).
2. Remove the computer access panel (
Access Panel on page 76).
3. Unplug the hood sensor cable from the connector labeled HSENSE on the system board (1).
4. Slide the hood sensor straight out of the slot in the chassis (2).

To reinstall the hood sensor, reverse the removal procedure.
