6. Clean the wipers with a vacuum cleaner and scrape the dirt away with your fingers at the same
time. The result should be as follows:
Finish cleaning
1. Put the wipers back in place and fasten them in place with the screws.
CAUTION: If you print before putting the wipers back, some material may fall out of the printer.
2. Close the top cover.
3. Ensure that all windows, covers and doors are closed and remain in their original positions.
4. Switch the printer on.
Clean the bottom glass of the heating lamps
Clean the bottom glass with a cloth and industrial cleaner, then with a razor scraper.

Prepare for cleaning
1. Ensure that you have a lint-free cloth, a general-purpose industrial cleaner (such as Simple Green
industrial cleaner), and a razor scraper (these things are not provided by HP).
WARNING! Sharp knife blade. Handle with care. When scraping a part, do not hold the part in your
hand.
2. Ensure that the printer is not printing.
3. Turn off the printer.
4. If a job has just been printed, wait about 20 minutes for the printer to cool down.
5. You are recommended to wear gloves and safety goggles.
6. Ensure that all windows, covers, and doors are closed and remain in their original positions.
