● Check if there was any interaction of the carriage with the recoater, Build Unit vanes or any other

● With the printer switched off, move the carriage by hand in both directions from end to end and
check if ther
e is any resistance or high friction.
● In the diagnostic mode, perform the 0086-03 “Scan Axis test” and take pictures of the results.
● In the diagnostic mode, perform the 0010-02 “Check Interlocks circuit”. Manually lock and unlock the
t
op cover and Build Unit door and check if both can be opened or not accordingly.
● In the maintenance menu, perform the “carriage cycling” and record a video of the movement with
the sound.
● After performing all the checks above and if it was possible to correct the found issues try to print
again.
● If the issue cannot be fixed, no issues are found, or the system error reappears in the next print, then
open a case with HP suppor
t. Provide details of the findings and actions taken from the above steps,

● Ensure that the powder walls are installed correctly.
