4. Remove the speakers (5) from the computer.
NOTE: When removing the speakers, make note of the location of the rubber isolator locations.
The absence of or damage to these isolators can result in degraded speaker performance.
To replace the speakers, reverse the removal procedures.
Bottom case
To remove the bottom case, use this procedure and illustration.

Before removing the bottom case, follow these steps:
1. Prepare the computer for disassembly (see Preparation for disassembly on page 41).
2. Remove the service cover (see Service cover on page 41), and then remove the following
components:
a. Battery (see Battery on page 42)
b. WWAN module thermal module (see WWAN module on page 45)
c. Memory module cover (see Memory modules on page 47)
Remove the bottom case:
1. Remove the following screws that secure the bottom case to the computer:
● 13 Phillips M2.0 × 5.3 screws (1)
● 5 Phillips M2.0 × 1.9 broad head screws (2)
● 2 Phillips M2.0 × 7.6 screws (3)
