6. Remove the fan cage.
7. Remove the blank.

Install the drive cage:
a.
If drive blanks are installed in the drive cage assembly, remove the drive blanks. Retain the drive blanks for use in
empty drive bays.
b.
Install the drive cage.
9. Connect the power cable.
10.
Install a storage controller.
11. Connect the data cables from the drive backplane to the controller.
12.
Install drives or drive blanks.
The installation is complete.
