3.3 Infrared Sensor
This describes the infrared sensor. The model of the configured infrared sensor is MC-760T.

Figure 3-3 shows the exterior of the MC-760T infrared sensor.

NOTE
The cable provided along with the MC-760T infrared sensor is 10 m [32.81 ft] long.
Working Principle of the Infrared Sensor
The MC-760T infrared sensor is based on the pyroelectric effect and performs dual monitoring
(microwave and infrared).
The sensitivity of the infrared sensor can be adjusted through its DIP switches. For details, refer
to the instructions of the infrared sensor. The infrared sensor enters the monitoring state three
minutes after it is powered on. It generates an alarm whenever someone moves in the equipment
room.
