5.3 Installing the Infrared Sensor
This describes how to install the infrared sensor.
Context
The requirements for the installation of the infrared sensor are as follows:
l The infrared sensor should not be exposed to sunlight or other strong light.
l The infrared sensor should not directly face heat sources such as air-conditioners or
caliducts.
l The infrared sensor should directly face positions prone to unauthorized entry.
l The infrared sensor should not be installed on the wall beside the door.
l The monitoring range should be clear of obstacles so that the infrared sensor can be directly
seen in the monitoring range.
l The Fresnel lens of the infrared sensor should be kept clean.
l The pyroelectric components of the infrared sensor should not be touched.
NOTE
The infrared sensor can be connected only to the terminals marked "OPTI&12VI&GND".
