5 Installing the Sensors
About This Chapter
The installation methods of the sensors provided by Huawei are described here. For the sensors
not provided by Huawei, see their respective instructions during installation.
Context
Adhere to the following requirements when installing the sensors:
l Install the water sensor in a low-lying position where water easily infiltrates.
l Install the smoke sensor in the center of the ceiling.
l Install the infrared sensor in a position about 1.5 m [4.92 ft] above the ground.
l Install the door status sensor where the top of the door meets the doorframe.
l Install the humidity/temperature sensor in a position about 1.5 m [4.92 ft] above the ground
and close to the BTS/NodeB.
Figure 5-1 shows the installation positions of the EMU and sensors.
