3.4 Language
1. From the home screen, tap .
The Settings screen is displayed.
2. Tap .
The Language screen is displayed.
3. Tap the Language drop-down list box and select a language in which the UI is displayed.
4. Tap Save to save the settings.
3.5 Screen Calibration
The LCD screen has been calibrated before delivery. If you find that the screen cannot accurately
track touches during use, you can calibrate the screen.
NOTE
l You must perform screen calibration carefully. An improperly calibrated screen will not respond to you
touch commands as it should, which can cause frustration. If you perform an improper operation, you can
quit without saving any data.
l If you do not perform any operations with 20 seconds after you touch the five calibration points, eSpace
8850 exits the calibration mode without saving the settings.
The procedure is as follows:
1. From the home screen, tap .
The Settings screen is displayed.
2. Tap . The message Incorrect operation may cause screen failure. Do you want to
calibrate the screen? is displayed.
3. Tap Yes in the confirmation dialog box.
The Screen calibration screen is displayed.
4. Use the stylus to touch the five calibration points as prompted.
5. Tap the screen or OK button to save the settings.
If there is any misalignment of calibration points after screen calibration, you can press the button
on the right panel of the phone to display the Screen calibration screen and perform screen
calibration again. The procedure is as follows:
1. Press Navigation button, and select
.
2. Press OK button. The message Incorrect operation may cause screen failure. Do you
want to calibrate the screen? is displayed.
3. Press Navigation button, and select Yes in the confirmation dialog box. Press OK
button. The Screen calibration screen is displayed.
4. Use the stylus to touch the five calibration points as prompted.
