5.1 Call Forwarding
The call forwarding function enables you to forward incoming calls to a specified phone number
or Voicemail. The eSpace 8850 supports the following four call forwarding modes:
l Call Forward All (CFA): All incoming calls are forwarded to a specified phone number or
Voicemail regardless of the user status.
l Call Forward Busy (CFB): Incoming calls are forwarded to a specified phone number or
Voicemail when the user is busy.
l Call Forward No Answer (CFNA): An incoming call is forwarded to a specified phone
number or Voicemail if the user does not answer the call within a specified period, for
example, 20 seconds.
l Call Forward Offline (CFO): Incoming calls are forwarded to a specified phone number or
Voicemail when the user is offline.
NOTE
l To use the call forwarding function, ensure that your account has been assigned the call forwarding
service right. If you have any questions, contact the system administrator.
l The call forwarding function is available only for the current account. For subsequently registered
accounts, the call forwarding function must be enabled again.
l CFA, CFB, CFNA, and CFO services can be enabled simultaneously on the eSpace 8850.
You can perform the following operations to enable or disable the call forwarding functions:
1. On the home screen, tap or choose > Call Service > Call Forwarding. The Call
Forwarding screen is displayed.
2. Enable or disable the call forwarding function.
To enable the call forwarding function, perform the following operations:
a. Tap a call forwarding mode.
b. Tap the Enable check box.
c. Set Forward to to Forward-to Number or Voicemail.
If you set Forward to to Forward-to Number, enter a phone number in the text box.
To disable the call forwarding function, perform the following operations:
a. Tap a call forwarding mode.
b. Tap the Disable check box.
3. Tap Save to save the settings.
When the call forwarding function is enabled,
is displayed on the status bar. When the call
forward all mode is enabled, Forwarded to ... is displayed below the favorites on the home
screen. ... specifies the forwarded-to phone number or Voicemail.
