User A taps next to the selected number to enter the screen for making a call transfer,
and taps Calling. If user A hears the ring back tone from user C, which indicates that
user C agrees to talk with user B, user A taps Finish.
Then, user A's call is automatically ended, and user B talks to user C.
NOTE
In semi-consult transfer or consult transfer mode, if user C is busy or rejects the call, user A hears an
announcement indicating that the called party is busy. User A can tap the line button for the line between
user A and user B to resume the call with user B.
5.5 Local Conference
The local conference function enables you to hold a meeting involving three participants.
NOTE
l To use the local conference function, ensure that at least two lines have been configured for your account
and at least one line is idle.
l The eSpace 8850 supports only three-party audio conferences.
Establishing a Three-Party Conference
For example, user A wants to hold a three-party conference with user B and C. User A can
establish a three-party conference by tapping the Conf or Join button.
Establishing a three-party conference by tapping the Conf button:
1. User A is talking with user B. User A taps More at the lower part of the screen. In the
displayed dialog box, user A taps Conf. The dial plate is displayed. User B is in call holding
state.
2. User A dials user C's phone number.
NOTE
User A can also call user C in other ways. For details, see 4.3 Making a Call.
3. When user C answers the phone, the call between user A and user C is set up.
4. User A taps Conf again. A three-party conference is established.
Establishing a three-party conference by tapping the Merge button:
l The line between user A and user B is in talking state, and the line between user A and user
C is in call holding state. User A taps More at the lower part of the screen. In the displayed
dialog box, user A taps Merge. A three-party conference is established.
l The line between user A and user B is in talking state. The line between user A and user C
and the line between user A and user D are in call holding state.
1. User A taps More at the lower part of the screen. In the displayed dialog box, user A
taps Merge.
2. The line selection screen is displayed, and the message Touch calls with the same
account to merge is displayed.
3. User A taps the line button with user C. A three-party conference is established.
NOTE
The function of merging calls is available only when the same account involves at least two calls.
