Parameter requirements: Set baud rate to 9600, data bit to 8, parity to none, stop bit
to 1 and flow control to none. Select VT100 as terminal emulation. The specific
means are as follows:
1)
Click [Start/Program/Accessories/Communications/HyperTerminal] to enter
the HyperTerminal window in which click icon
to establish a new
connection and the system will pop up the connection description interface
as shown in the following figure.

2) Key in the name of the new connection in the connection description
interface and click <OK>, the system will pop up the following interface
picture. Select the serial port to be used from [Connect using].
