Step 9 Exert even force to lift the supercapacitor out of the supercapacitor tray. See (2) in

Step 10 Place the removed supercapacitor in an ESD bag.

Installing the Supercapacitor
Step 1 Wear an ESD wrist strap. For details, see 5.2 ESD Protection.
Step 2 Power
o the server. For details, see 5.4.2 Powering O the Server.
Step 3 Remove the power cables. For details, see 5.7 PSU.
Step 4 Remove the server. For details, see 5.4.4 Removing the Server and Guide Rails.
Step 5 Remove the chassis cover. For details, see 5.8 Chassis Cover.
Step 6 Take a spare supercapacitor out of its ESD bag.
Step 7 Place the supercapacitor downwards and exert even force to install it in the tray.
Ensure that the supercapacitor is secured by the latches. See Figure 5-68.
