How to fix 'Probe not connected' message on Humeau LIGHTNING MVP ICON Measuring Instruments ICON?
    • J
      Jeffrey HallAug 19, 2025
If the ICON display reads 'Probe not connected,' first try reinserting the connector to ensure better contact. Also, verify that the ICON is in 'Conductivity' mode. Inspect the probe body for any signs of connection breakage; if the connectors are damaged, the probe may need replacement.
  • T
    Thomas PittmanAug 22, 2025
Why are the conductivity readings drifting on my Humeau LIGHTNING MVP ICON Measuring Instruments?
    • M
      Matthew PriceAug 22, 2025
If the conductivity readings from your Humeau Measuring Instruments are drifting or unstable, try stirring the sample to equilibrate it. If the readings continue to drift, recalibrate the probe.
  • W
    Wesley FischerAug 25, 2025
What to do if conductivity readings are wrong on Humeau LIGHTNING MVP ICON Measuring Instruments?
    • K
      Karen MillerAug 25, 2025
If the conductivity readings from your Humeau Measuring Instruments are drastically different from what you expect, first verify that you correctly entered the calibration solution on the keypad and recalibrate. If the problem persists, clean the probe and recalibrate again.

    Daniel SchultzAug 26, 2025
What to do if I spilled liquid on my Humeau Measuring Instruments ICON?
    • R
      Roy KaneAug 26, 2025
If you've spilled a small amount of liquid on or into your Humeau Measuring Instruments ICON, turn it off immediately. Keep it vertical in a dry, low-dust environment with the sample chamber door open. Allow sufficient time for the internal liquid to evaporate completely.

    Amy SharpAug 28, 2025
How to troubleshoot 'Calibration failed' error on Humeau LIGHTNING MVP ICON ICON?
    • N
      nicoleedwardsAug 28, 2025
If the ICON displays 'Calibration failed,' refer to the MVP ICON Instrument Error messages (pages 73 – 74) to establish the error number and corresponding corrective action. Also, the calibration may fail when the sanitizer possesses insufficient conductivity for quantitation compared to the background water. The instrument will produce Error 12 if there is an insufficient difference.

    James ThompsonAug 30, 2025
Why are ATP sensitivity and background readings off on my Humeau Measuring Instruments ICON?
    • C
      Cynthia GallowayAug 30, 2025
To address high background readings, low ATP sensitivity, or sudden changes in these parameters on your Humeau Measuring Instruments ICON, first make sure no liquid has been spilled inside the instrument and allow it to dry completely if it has. Then, run the ICON instrument calibrators (sold separately) and compare the results with previous ones to determine if the issue is with the instrument.

    Amy ThorntonSep 1, 2025
Why won't the temperature probe calibrate on my Humeau LIGHTNING MVP ICON ICON?
    • M
      Michael RodriguezSep 1, 2025
If the MVP ICON Temperature Probe on your Humeau Measuring Instruments will not calibrate, keep in mind that probes get dirty which will influence the ability to be calibrated and/or make accurate readings. Avoid highly corrosive or abrasive materials as well as strong organic solvents.
  • H
    Hayden PetersSep 3, 2025
Why are Humeau Measuring Instruments calibrator results inconsistent?
    • W
      william59Sep 3, 2025
If the calibrator results vary widely from read to read on your Humeau Measuring Instruments ICON, it might indicate a malfunction. However, ensure that static electricity accumulated on the luminescent calibrator isn't the cause. Touch the luminescent calibrator to a metal object, then slowly reinsert it into the reading chamber, allowing about 2 minutes for any remaining static to dissipate before initiating a reading.
  • J
    judithbrownSep 5, 2025
Why does pH take so long to stabilize on Humeau LIGHTNING MVP ICON Measuring Instruments during calibration?
    • J
      James JensenSep 5, 2025
If the pH takes a long time to stabilize during calibration of your Humeau Measuring Instruments, ensure the probe is clean and has been presoaked in pH 7.00 or 4.00 buffer for at least 10 minutes. Also, pH readings might take longer to stabilize in relatively clean water samples.
  • L
    Luke CalhounSep 7, 2025
What to do if Humeau LIGHTNING MVP ICON ICON won't charge?
    • H
      huntnancySep 7, 2025
If your Humeau Measuring Instruments ICON won't charge and the screen remains blank, first verify that the connections are secure and the power source is active. If the power source is active, unscrew the battery cover on the back of the instrument, disconnect, and reconnect the battery, ensuring the cover is properly tightened.
