Repair Instructions
7.6 Dismantling the ignition module and
flywheel

Remove the cylinder cover and starter. Unsnap the
cables from the guide rail as outlined in gure 7.
Remove the guide rail.

Thread the mandrel 502 51 94-01 on the crank-
shaft journal. Leave 1-2 threads to the ywheel.
Knock on the mandrel with a suitable metal ham-
mer while pulling the ywheel outward at the same
time until it comes off the shaft. See gure 9.
Remove the mandrel and the ywheel.
Loosen the screws on the ignition module when
changing it. See gure 10.
Dismantle the air lter, air lter holder and carbure-
tor. See the "Dismantling the carburetor" chapter.

Take off the ignition cap from the spark plug and
loosen the ignition cable from its attachment on
the partition wall. Unsnap the connector and pull
the cable through the hole in the crankcase. See
gure 10.
Cleaning and inspection
Clean all parts, especially the tapers on the
ywheel and shafts.
Check the ywheel for cracks or any other signs
of damage.

Knock out a few of the pins in the tool if it does not
match up with the ywheel.
Use the tool to hold the ywheel in place while the
ywheel nut is loosened using a suitable socket
wrench. See gure 8.
