7.22 Dismantling the piston and cylinder

Dismantle:
cylinder cover
carburetor (see “Dismantling the carburetor”)
mufer
spark plug cap and spark plug
hand guard
intake system

Cover over the crankcase opening.

Remove the circlips for the gudgeon pin and press
out the gudgeon pin. Then lift off the piston. See
gure 61.

Remove the gudgeon pin bearing (needle bearing).
See gure 61.
NOTE!
Take care to prevent any dirt or foreign
particles from entering the crankcase.

Undo the vibration element/vibration damper
spring from the front handle. See gure 59.

Unscrew the cylinder's four screws. See gure 60.
Carefully lift away the cylinder and gasket.
7.21 Replacing the tank ventilation valve
Pull out the tank ventilation valve with uted at
nose pliers. See gure 58.
Carefully t the new tank ventilation valve with a
suitable sleeve.
