Programming new main circuit board
If the main circuit board is replaced, the new main
circuit board must be programmed. The main
circuit board includes for instance information
about the robotic lawnmower's serial number. A
new main circuit board may for safety reasons be
only assigned one serial number which is never
changed. It is therefore very important that the
correct serial number is given.
There are 3 options when programming a new
main circuit board:
• Select mower from logbook
This is the normal and the safest choice.
Select the relevant robotic lawnmower
from the log book and the serial number
and operating data will be transferred
automatically to the new main circuit
board. This requires that the relevant
robotic lawnmower has once been
connected to Autocheck EXP.
• Enter serial number manually
If the relevant robotic lawnmower has
never been connected to Autocheck
EXP, the serial number has to be entered
manually. It is very important to enter the
correct serial number.
• Service mode
If the main circuit board is replaced when
troubleshooting and you are not sure
if it will be kept in the relevant robotic
lawnmower, it is possible to temporarily
program the main circuit board in a so-
called Service Mode. In Service Mode,
a serial number is not needed and the
main circuit board is thus not locked to
just this robotic lawnmower. In Service
Mode most functions can be tested and
used as normal. However, there is no
access to the security menu in the robotic
lawnmower's display. It is therefore very
important never to return the robotic
lawnmower in Service Mode to the
customer. As long as the main circuit
board is in Service Mode, the Service
mode text ashes in the display.
4.3.5 Log book
Log book is used to simply save information about
a large number of mowers in a database. The
information can then be searched and used even
when the mowers are not connected to Autocheck.
