Preparing the 9080-M9S system to remove and replace a service processor card in the
system control unit
Procedure
1. Check and record the current rmware level.
On the ASMI Welcome pane, view the existing level of server rmware in the upper-right corner under
the copyright statement, for example, 01EM310 or FW760.00 (AM760_019).
2. Check and record the following service processor card settings:
• System Name
• System Power Control
• System Service Aids
• System Conguration
• Network Services
• Performance Option
• Login Prole
3. Locate the amber LED for the failed service processor card as shown in the following gure.
Record the location of the identifying LED.
