Preparing the 9080-M9S system to remove and replace the clock and control
card
To prepare the system to remove and replace a clock and control card, complete the steps in this
procedure.
Procedure
1. From the Operation list, select Set Identify LED. Then, click OK to conrm the operation.
This action causes the identify LED for the faulty part to turn on, and causes the blue system ID LED to
turn on.
2. Open the rear rack door, if necessary.
3. Use the blue LED to identify the server.
Ensure that the serial number of the system matches the serial number to be serviced.
4. Check that an amber identify LED is flashing for one of the clock and control cards as shown in the
following gure.
