8. Label and remove the cables from the service processor interface card that you identied in “3” on
page 575.
Removing the service processor interface card from the 9080-M9S system
To remove the service processor interface card from the system, complete the steps in this procedure.
Procedure
1. Ensure that you have the electrostatic discharge (ESD) wrist strap on and that the ESD clip is plugged
into a ground jack or connected to an unpainted metal surface. If not, do so now.
2. To remove a service processor interface card, complete the following steps:
a) For the service processor interface card that has the amber LED on, pull the blue service processor
interface card handle latch (A) to the right as shown in the following gure.
b) Hold on to the service processor interface card handle and by using your hand to support the
bottom of the service processor interface card, pull out the service processor interface card from its
slot as shown in the following gure.
