7. Remove the system backplane.
Remember: After the chassis and all of the parts are removed, the system backplane requires two
people or a lift tool to remove it. These instructions assume two people are performing the removal. If
you're using a lift tool, refer to the lift tool documentation for instructions to use the lift tool.
a) Pull the release latch (A) on each rail.
b) As you carefully lift the system backplane off the rails., keep the back end low and the front end
high.
