6. Remove the socket dust cover from one of the system processor module sockets on the new system
backplane.
Important: It is recommended that you remove the socket dust covers one at a time and
immediately install a system processor module in each socket.
a) Grasp the latches on both sides of the socket dust cover and squeeze them inwards until the
latches release from the pins on the system backplane. See the following gure.
b) Lift the socket dust cover straight up as shown in the following gure. Set the dust cover aside.
