Data Motion is not supported in the Data ONTAP 8.0 7-Mode release
family
The Data Motion feature that enables users to migrate vFiler units between
storage systems was introduced in a previous release, but it is not supported
in Data ONTAP 8.0 7-Mode release family.
The Data Motion feature integrates virtual storage, mirroring, and
provisioning software technologies so that you can perform data migrations
non-disruptively in both physical and virtual environments.
