BASIC OPERATION
N Mode selection
D VFO mode
VFO mode is used to set the desired frequency.
± Push [V/MHz] to select VFO mode.

What is VFO?
VFO is an abbreviation of Variable Frequency Oscillator. Fre-
quencies for both transmitting and receiving are generated
and controlled by the VFO.
D Memory mode
Memory mode is used for operation on memory channels
which store programmed frequencies.
q Push [M/CALL] to select memory mode.
• “ ” appears when memory mode is selected.
• Push [M/CALL] several times to select call channels/TV* chan-
nels/Weather
