Connecting (continued)
ATTENTION: The force applied to tighten the screw must never be higher
than 6Nm. The manufacturer will not provide repairs under warranty if the
MAX 6Nm tightening force is exceeded.
8.2 Central Unit
Terminals 1 and 4 on connector S5 and S10 (L & XL) of the Central Unit must be connected directly to the negative of
the battery with a wire of 1,5mm² (16 AWG) dimension.
The main terminal is connected to the positive of the battery through a fuse that will support the total current used by +
the equipment connected to the POLARIS central unit. Remember that this fuse is required and must be placed as
close to the battery as possible. The wire connected to the + terminal must have the correct size. In most installations,
the total current absorbed is very high. For this reason, refer to the table on page 3 to dimension the gauge of the wires
according to the currents and lengths.
A proper crimp terminal ( ) is provided with the power module (Figure 1).M6
Terminals for the TE
connector are designed for
wires size range 1,5-2,5mm² (16-14
AWG).
Terminals for the Wurth
connector are designed for wires size
range 1,5mm² (16 AWG).
iTerminals 1 & 4 on S5 and S10
connectors (S10 only for L and XL
version) corresponds to the negative
input of the POLARIS.
Touch screen consoles, central unit, Unitherm-HD, OpenLink, VFI, MFI and ADI are connected on the same data bus
network. They provide each 2x data bus connectors. Whatever the module, these 2 connectors are linked together and
allow you to connect 2 cables (see example on page 3).
See the particularities of the FSP console on page 42.
In order to ensure perfect operation, only BUS cables
assembled and supplied by the manufacturer are
accepted. Otherwise, unless authorised in writing, the
manufacturer will not accept any warranty or liability
on the equipment installed.
