Prepare for a Manual Post-Run Wash
User-Supplied Consumables Volume and Description
NaOCl 1 ml, diluted to 0.12%
Loaded onto the reagent wash cartridge (position #28)
100% Tween 20
Laboratory-grade water
Used to make 125 ml 0.05% Tween 20 wash solution
Loaded onto the buffer wash cartridge (center reservoir)
NOTE
Always use a fresh dilution of NaOCl prepared within the last 24hours. If you make a volume larger than 1ml,
store the remaining dilution at 2°C to 8°C for use within the next 24 hours. Otherwise, discard the remaining
dilution of NaOCl.
1 Combine the following volumes in a microcentrifuge tube to result in 1 ml 0.12% NaOCl:
u 5% NaOCl (24µl)
u Laboratory-grade water (976 µl)
2 Invert the tube to mix.
3 Add 1 ml of 0.12% NaOCl to the reagent wash cartridge. The correct reservoir is equivalent to position
#28 on the prefilled cartridge.

4 Combine the following volumes to result in a 0.05% Tween 20 wash solution:
u 100% Tween 20 (62 µl)
u Laboratory-grade water (125 ml)
5 Add 125 ml wash solution to the center reservoir of the buffer wash cartridge.
6 Select Perform Wash, and then select Manual Post-Run Wash.

User-Supplied Consumables Volume and Description
100% Tween 20
Laboratory-grade water
Used to make 40 ml 0.05% Tween 20 wash solution
Loaded onto buffer wash cartridge (center reservoir)
1 Combine the following volumes to result in a 0.05% Tween 20 wash solution:
u 100% Tween 20 (20 µl)
u Laboratory-grade water (40 ml)
2 Add 40 ml wash solution to the center reservoir of the buffer wash cartridge.
3 Select Perform Wash, and then select Quick Wash.
