CAUTION
Ensure all threaded connecons are engaged at least one (1) diameter length of the threads.
CAUTION
Threaded connecons that boom out must be backed o one full turn to avoid binding.
11. Turn on the pump and carefully guide the last threaded connecon between the adapters. As the threads
make inial contact, the slack adapter will raise the LVDT and stop when it is in the center of travel.

Never posion any bodily part between threaded connecon adaptors.
12. Carefully begin to make the nal thread connecon. As the threads are engaged, the piston will follow
the engagement to keep the LVDT centered. Stop when at least 1 diameter of threads are engaged on all
threaded connecons.
13. Turn on the pump and carefully guide the last threaded connecon between the adapters.

14. Carefully begin to make the nal thread connecon. As the threads are engaged, the piston

15. Through the front access door, check the oil level in the sight glass (See gure 10).
16. Check the oor of the Calibraon Rig for indicaons of oil leaks, if no leaks are visible, close
the front access door.

