) cable for connections. Communication cabling shall
be a minimum of 18-Gauge, 2-Conductor, Stranded Copper. Shielded cable must be considered for

to reduce the potential for communication errors. When shielded cabling is applied, proper bonding and
termination of the cable shield is required as per Johnson Controls guidelines. Plenum and riser ratings
for communication cables must be considered per application and local code requirements.
The maximum total cable length is 98 ft. 4-13/16 in. (30m).
If the total cable length exceeds 98 ft.
4-13/16 in. (30m), use a communication cable with a shield tube. (1P - AWG 18 (0.82mm

)). In this
case, the maximum total cable length is 1640 ft. 6 in. (500m).

B. Keep a distance of more than 11-13/16 inches (30cm) between the transmission line (controller cable
and communication cables) and power source of the indoor units.

G. The control timer cannot be used along with this controller.
