A.3 Interface Specifications
Your printer is equipped with a parallel interface, a USB interface and a serial interface (According to
specific interface standards). The printer switches automatically to the appropriate interface when it
receives data.
A.3.1 Parallel Interface
The parallel interface has the following characteristics.
Data format: 8-bit
Synchronization: /STROBE pulse
Handshaking: BUSY and /ACKNLG signals
Signal level: TTL compatible
A.3.2 USB Interface
The following table provides the standardized contact terminating assignments by number and color for
Series “A” and Series “B” connectors of Full-speed USB 2.0.
A: The minimum top margin ≥ 8.0 mm.
B: The minimum right/left margin is 3.0 mm.
However, the maximum printable width is 203.2 mm.
C: The minimum bottom margin ≥ 9.0 mm.
A: The minimum top and bottom margin above and below the perforation are≥ 8.0 mm.
B: The minimum left and right margins are≥ 3.0 mm.
The maximum printable width is 203.2 mm (8.0 inches).
