KICstart Version 1.1.0.x
KICstart User Manual 33
Once you have selected your thermocouples, you are ready to profile.
Make sure the KICstart profiler hardware is properly connected to the computer. You will be able to view
the live readings for each selected thermocouple. If you don’t see the live readings, the KICstart hardware
is not connected properly. Recheck the cable connections, and make sure a fresh battery is installed.
Select the Start Profile (Green traffic light) button to begin profiling.
The KICstart software requires that the selected thermocouples read valid temperatures below the
Maximum product temperature at start of profile as displayed in the Global Preferences screen. The
default setting is 40ºC/104ºF.
If any of the selected thermocouples read too high, this message will appear:
When the KICstart software detects valid temperatures for all of the selected thermocouples, it will allow
you to start the profile.
In certain situations the KICstart software may display other messages with directions in addition to
what is outlined below. Read these messages and follow these directions carefully.
Next, the KICstart software will ask you to
verify the oven is stable.
Yes – The software will prompt you
to put the KICstart and the board in
to the oven.
No – The software will return you to
the main screen to start again.
The software will ask you to change the oven
setpoint temperatures to the temperatures that
the control thermocouples are currently
reading and then start the profile again, press
OK.
